Bro. David E. White, is a native of Steelton, Pennsylvania. He was the 12th of 16 children born to his late parents, Reverend Dr. Scott A. White, Sr. and Mary E. Holmes White. The gift of music was a talent shared throughout the White bloodline. The White family’s multi-talented careers include musicians, writers, producers and vocalist. David embodies each of these diverse skills with a true perfectionist attitude and talent.
David began his musical career playing the piano at age eight. His innate talent quickly developed and over the years he has become an accomplished professional musician and music director. To his credit, Bro. White has taken his passion for music in all its forms and parlayed his practiced art into a well established career. His music has entertained countless audiences across the country from the storefront church to President Nixon’s Inauguration in our nation’s Capitol.
Bro. White’s mastery of gospel and Christian music has been heard in many churches and other venues. He has served as the Minister of Music at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, and Tabernacle Baptist Church. He has, for the last 4 years, graced the congregation of the Huber Memorial Church in Baltimore, Maryland as Minister of Music, under the servanthood of the Rev. P.M. Smith. At Huber, he directs six choirs, five musicians, provides music and vocals for all services, activities, and fellowships with numerous churches.
Because of his musical gift and diverse musical talents, Bro. White’s engagement schedule is always booked. He has toured with many renowned recording artists including the Shirley Caesar Caravan and the late Reverend James Cleveland. His mix of rhythm, jazz, blues and gospel music combine into captivating performances with spellbound audiences. His musical styling has spanned more than four decades and has been appreciated and enjoyed by thousands of satisfied listeners. He is indeed a unique pleasure to listen to and enjoy, but above all he is the “Original Maestro”, Mr. David E. White.
